Lavender Panna Cotta for yesterday’s Brunch.

At 8oz Burger Bar, Miami beach. I would have taken a picture beforehand, but I absolutely devoured it. The special burger of the day with smoked, really smoked, bacon, arugula, tomato confit… Delicious. Holy Mackerel Golden Belgian Ale. Yum. And I’m taking home the chorizo-stuffed fried olives. Yay!

Pan Bagnat, A La Folie, Espanola Way, Miami Beach

Fresh batch of chai (minus the milk) on its way to Java Love. This is the brewing I do - Grady does the beer.
-
Dill pickles are done. Lost one jar (it’s cold up here today), but had a higher yield than I was expecting. We’ll see how they taste in a couple of days.
-
Cucumbers are in the brine. They’ll be made into dill pickles tomorrow.
-
The best pate I have ever had at Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink, Miami. Also the Wood oven roasted double yolk farm egg, the Grilled octopus, The burrata, the duck confit… I could go on and on. I just wish they had the crispy pig ear.

“Mr Somebody & Mr Nobody Present The Amazing Afro Pop-Up Shop”, Heidi Chisholm and Sharon Lombard, Wolfsonian Museum, Miami Beach

Second birthday dinner at BLT. Amazing popovers, fillet, béarnaise that had such a nice strong flavor, gnocchi as light as air with a hint of nutmeg. We ate outside in the blustery warm wind, then walked to the Gansevoort and had a drink at the rooftop bar, where the video was taken. Wonderful evening…

Landaise - duck confit, red onion confit, truffle pate, tomatoes, potatoes, salad. Delicious. And this was after the Carmelized pear and Brie crepe. A la Folie, Espanola Way, Miami Beach.
